# Adding a client

> Three ways: ask your AI Admin, press New Client, or let a worker create one when it joins a channel.

Ergoly Docs › Clients. Web: https://www.ergoly.ai/docs/clients/adding · Index: https://www.ergoly.ai/docs/llms.txt

## Ask your AI Admin

Tell it the client's name and, if you have it, the website. It confirms what it is about to create and does it on your yes.

```slack
Direct message with Ada
Sam: Add Globex as a client. globex.example
Ada (worker): I'll create the client Globex with globex.example as its website, which gives it a logo and a description. No worker is assigned yet; tell me which one when you're ready. OK?
Sam: OK
Ada (worker): Done. Globex is in the tray on your Company chart until someone places it.
```

## In control

1. Open **Clients** and press **New Client**, or open **Company**, press **Add**, and choose **Client**.
2. Type the **Company name**. The slug under it is the client's short name in URLs; click it to change it.
3. Add the **Website URL** if you have it. Ergoly uses it for the logo and a public description.
4. Optionally paste a **Slack Channel ID** for the channel you share with the client. You can do this later from the worker instead.
5. Press **Create client**.

## From a channel

When a worker joins a channel and no client matches, it offers **New client…**. That creates the client and maps the channel to it in one step. See [Slack](https://www.ergoly.ai/docs/workers/channels/slack).

> **Worth knowing.** A client with no worker assigned does nothing. The next step is [assigning a worker](https://www.ergoly.ai/docs/clients/assigning-a-worker).
