# Artifacts

> A web page a worker publishes with a link: a report, a dashboard, a one-pager. Private to your company by default, or open to anyone with the link.

## Creating one

Ask the worker for anything you would rather pass around as a link: a report, a dashboard, a chart, a comparison, a one-pager, a calculator. It builds a self-contained page, publishes it, and replies with the link and whether it is private or public. Ask for changes and a new version appears at the same link.

#acme-internal

Sam: @Nora turn the Q3 numbers into a one-page dashboard I can send to Acme.
Nora (worker): Published, private to your company: control.ergoly.ai/youragency/a/k8f2… Say make it public and anyone with the link can open it.

```
## Publishing and locations
Every artifact has a **Location**: your company, or one client. The location decides which workers can find and read it: all of them, or only that client's. A new artifact's location follows the worker that made it. Any signed-in member of your company can open every artifact, whatever its location. The **Artifacts** page lists them all, with filters for author, location and sharing.
## Privacy and sharing
On the artifact's page, the **Sharing** popover offers **Private** (people in your company) or **Public** (anyone with the link, no sign-in). New artifacts are private. There is no delete: setting an artifact back to private is how you take it down.
> **Worth knowing.** A page can hold a lot: up to 4.5 MB, with charts and tables. It cannot hold live data, forms, or anything that stores what a reader types.
