# Identity

> A name, an avatar, a Slack app, and an email address. Change any of them from the worker's Settings tab.

Ergoly Docs › Workers. Web: https://www.ergoly.ai/docs/workers/identity · Index: https://www.ergoly.ai/docs/llms.txt

- **Name**: What people call it, in Slack and in control. On the Settings tab, under **Identity**, with **Role title** beside it. Press **Save**; the change reaches the worker on its next turn.
- **Avatar**: Click the photo in the page header (**Change photo**). PNG, JPEG or WebP under 2 MB. The style of generated avatars is set for the whole company under Settings → Avatars.
- **Slack app**: Each worker is its own Slack app and bot. Under **Connection & runtime**, **Set icon in Slack** pushes the avatar to the app so it matches in both places. The card also shows the Slack app ID, read-only.
- **Email address**: Every worker has one, shown under Identity as a copy chip once it exists. It looks like `nora@youragency.ergoly-mail.com`; a client's copy has its own, with the client's name in it. See [Email](https://www.ergoly.ai/docs/workers/channels/email).

> **Worth knowing.** The name is also the worker's slug in URLs and in the API. Renaming changes what people see; the slug set when the worker was created stays.
