Founding GTM Engineer

Seattle · Full-time

Fifteen-plus agencies found their way to Ergoly through the founders. Everyone after them has to come from a system — and you are the person who builds it.

Who we are

Ergoly gives agencies and consultants AI workers that live in their own tools, learn the craft by watching them work, and get deployed into client businesses under the agency's own name. The product is live, and more than fifteen agencies are running real client work through it today.

The team is small, and this is the ground floor of it. Nothing is someone else's department, there is no layer between building something and shipping it, and what you build reaches real agencies and their clients within days.

The role

Two workstreams, running in parallel from the start.

The pipeline

Qualified conversations with agency founders, every week. Outbound, communities, events, referrals — whatever fills the calendar honestly. Every one of our fifteen-plus agencies was sourced by a founder, and founder-led does not scale. You take the number and own it end to end: from the first signal to a booked call that actually shows up.

The engine

The system that makes growth repeatable — and it is software, not a spreadsheet. Signals sourced and enriched, sequences that branch on what people actually do, every touch instrumented, every experiment written down, every channel that works turned into a playbook the whole company can run — including our own AI workers. It is built from day one; by the end of month 1 the engine exists. By the end of month 2, it is how growth ships.

The actual problem

You are not just filling a pipeline. You are building the machine that fills the pipeline.

If that sentence makes you lean forward, keep reading.

Fifteen-plus agencies in, Ergoly still has no repeatable acquisition channel — founder-led selling works, and nothing else is proven. You find the channel, and you prove it with numbers.

For the right person, that is the most interesting part of the job.

What the first two months look like

Both tracks run from day one. Only one of them has something to show for it in week one.

These are the commitments, not a wish list. The month 1 column is the end of the work trial.

Week 1

The pipeline

  • A named target list of lighthouse-fit agencies, built from what our fifteen-plus live agencies have in common — sourced and enriched, not bought
  • Your first outbound touches out — under your own name, in your own words
  • Your first qualified founder conversations booked

The engine

Being built from day one. Nothing to show yet — every touch is instrumented while the mechanism takes shape.

Week 2

The pipeline

  • A first channel experiment beyond outbound live — community, event, or referral
  • Reply, booking, and show rates tracked from the very first touch

The engine

Nothing due on the engine track this week.

Month 1

End of work trial

The pipeline

  • A steady weekly drumbeat of qualified conversations with agency founders
  • At least one lighthouse-fit firm in a live closing conversation

The engine

  • The engine exists — every channel instrumented end to end, one of them showing numbers worth repeating

Month 2

The pipeline

  • Pipeline pacing to a newly signed agency every week — none of them sourced by a founder
  • A referral loop running from live client deployments

The engine

  • Two channels running on written playbooks — not on memory
  • Someone who is not you — a founder, or an Ergoly worker — runs a channel through its playbook, unassisted

The loop

Growth runs on the product we sell: Ergoly workers execute the engine's playbooks — and our own growth becomes the first case study.

What is in it for you

  • Own growth from day one — the number the whole company watches.
  • Pre-seed equity. The ground floor of something that does not exist anywhere else yet.
  • Real autonomy, and the responsibility that comes with it. Which channels get built — and what you build them out of — is your call to make.
  • Work directly with the founders every day, selling something agencies genuinely need.

We start with a paid, full-time work trial — one month, full system access, real pipeline from day one. It is the same job on both sides of it.

How to apply

Two questions.

No cover letter, no take-home, no six rounds. Answer these two and we will read them ourselves.

You can also apply from a terminal: ssh apply@join.ergoly.ai asks the same two questions and reaches the same two people.

Do you live in Seattle, or would you relocate?

The role is in Seattle. Answering "neither" does not end the conversation — we would rather know now.

A few paragraphs is plenty. Numbers beat adjectives.

Disagreeing well is the point of this question.
