Meet your AI Admin

Connect Slack, name it, install it. It messages you and sets up your company and your first worker from there.

Your AI Admin is a worker that only works inside your company. It never joins a client's channel. Its job is to set things up: workers, channels, clients, and the tools they use.

Setup, in control

Setup has four steps.

  1. Connect Slack. Ergoly needs permission to create Slack apps in your workspace. On api.slack.com/apps, open App Configuration Tokens, press Generate Token, and paste the token that starts with xoxe- into the Refresh token field.
  2. Name your AI Admin. Type a name (the example is Ada). Leave Full Slack permissions on unless you have a reason not to; it lets the AI Admin invite workers to channels and create channels for you.
  3. Install it. Press Add <name> to Slack and click Allow in the Slack window that opens. Control shows Starting <name> up… while the worker is built.
  4. Done. Control shows <name> is looking around your workspace, then <name> has messaged you in Slack.

Then, in Slack

Open the direct message from your AI Admin. It introduces itself and asks what the first worker should do. Answer in plain words. It proposes a name, a job, and the channels, and asks for your yes before creating anything.

Hi Sam, I'm Ada, your AI Admin. I set up workers, channels, clients and tools, and I ask before I change anything. What should your first worker do?

Sam09:15

Account management for our retainer clients. Status notes, meeting prep, follow-ups.

AdaAPP09:18

Got it. I'll create a worker called Nora, job title Account Manager, reporting to you. To start it needs a Slack install, which opens a window for you to click Allow. Shall I go ahead?

Sam09:23

Yes.

The AI Admin proposes, you approve. The install link needs a workspace admin.
