Connecting a tool

Press Add Connection, pick the app, choose who may use it, and sign in or paste a key.

  1. On Connections, press Add Connection.
  2. Pick the app. Search the catalog of more than 1,500 apps, or browse by category. Under the results, two other ways in: A tool server by URL, or An API key for another app by its base URL. See Custom tools.
  3. Access. Choose who may use it. The narrowest option is the default. See Placement.
  4. Name it, and add a Description in your own words. Workers read the description to decide when to use it.
  5. How to connect. Sign in opens the app's own sign-in in a new tab; every worker placed here then acts as the account you sign in with. Use a key takes a key, checks it once, and keeps it out of every worker's reach. No sign-in is for tools that need none.
  6. Press Connect and finish in the other tab. The person who signs in does not need an Ergoly account.

From Slack

A worker can ask for a connection within its own reach, posting a sign-in link that lasts a few minutes or taking a key pasted in the thread. A workspace admin can also DM a worker connect <app>, such as connect hubspot, and get a link. Your AI Admin can connect an app for any worker and place it anywhere. See Connections, under Workers.
